    Solution:Original question:
     (165 + x ) × 618 = (97 + x ) × 1000
    Remove the bracket on the left of the equation:
     Left side of the equation = 165 × 618 + x × 618
                                             = 101970 + x × 618
    The equation is transformed into :
     101970 + 618 x = (97 + x ) × 1000
    Remove the bracket on the right of the equation:
     Right side of the equation = 97 × 1000 + x × 1000
                                               = 97000 + x × 1000
    The equation is transformed into :
     101970 + 618 x = 97000 + 1000 x

    Transposition :
     618 x 1000 x = 97000101970

    Combine the items on the left of the equation:
      - 382 x = 97000101970

    Combine the items on the right of the equation:
      - 382 x = - 4970

    By shifting the terms and changing the symbols on toth sides of the equation, we obtain :
     4970 = 382 x

    If the left side of the equation is equal to the right side, then the right side must also be equal to the left side, that is :
