    Solution:Original question:
     15 = 1 ÷ (1 + r ) + 1 ÷ (1 + r ) × 2 + 1 ÷ (1 + r ) × 3 + 1 ÷ (1 + r ) × 4 + (1 + 16)
     Multiply both sides of the equation by:(1 + r )
     15(1 + r ) = 1 + 1 × 2 + 1 × 3 + 1 × 4 + (1 + 16) × 5
    Remove a bracket on the left of the equation::
     15 × 1 + 15 r = 1 + 1 × 2 + 1 × 3 + 1 × 4 + (1 + 16) × 5
    Remove a bracket on the right of the equation::
     15 × 1 + 15 r = 1 + 1 × 2 + 1 × 3 + 1 × 4 + 1 × 5 + 16 × 5
    The equation is reduced to :
     15 + 15 r = 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 80
    The equation is reduced to :
     15 + 15 r = 95

    Transposition :
     15 r = 9515

    Combine the items on the right of the equation:
     15 r = 80

    The coefficient of the unknown number is reduced to 1 :
      r = 80 ÷ 15
        = 80 ×
